Oh Covid! Why don't you just rack off already?!?
2022 hasn't quite started as well as we all would have hoped for... but life must go on! The best way forward is to focus on what we can do to stay safe and healthy during this pandemic.
For those who haven't visited my Terrey Hills studio before, it is a small studio space located next to my house. Since the beginning of this pandemic, I have taken measures to ensure that this space is as covid-safe as it can possibly be.
So, what does that mean for you?
Studio Sessions
I only schedule 2-3 newborn sessions a week. This ensures I have enough time to:
- wash all items used during the session with anti-bacterial wash. This includes all wraps/blankets/bonnets etc.
- vacuum and mop the floors
- wipe over all the furniture with anti-bacterial wipes
- spray over all other surfaces with Glen-20
- air the studio as much as possible by opening windows and doors
During the studio session, I wear a N95 mask and apply hand sanitiser before the session starts. I continue to use the sanitiser during the session as required (which I always have done even before Covid). I ask clients to wear a mask whilst they aren't having their photos taken. If you forget your mask don't worry, I have lots of brand new masks in the studio you can have.
For all studio sessions in 2022, I will perform a Rapid Antigen Test on myself the morning of your session. This will hopefully provide a little more peace of mind before you come in for your session. Should this RAT show a positive result, I will be in contact with you to reschedule.
I am triple vaccinated (Booster in December 2021) and my entire family is also vaccinated, including my children who have received their first paediatric dose in January and will be fully vaccinated by March 2022.
Still not comfortable in the studio? I can shoot your portraits outdoors, including newborns! The studio backs on to a reserve so it's an easy transition to bring a few props outside and conduct the session in the great outdoors with nature as the backdrop.
